The discovery of American was the beginning of building the United States.

I. Introduction

The discovery of America triggered a lot of activities like trade between American, Europe and other countries.

1. Major Aspect Which Demonstrates Old And New World Exchange

A. Apparently, the exchange of goods is one of the aspects in both new and old world exchange (Fryd, 2018). Additionally, new and old world exchange also leads to establishments of trade platform in the new world and also resulted to trade routes which were used initially. Finally, it influences the demand for and supply of goods.

2 Groups That Were Affected By Columbian Exchange

A. The groups which were affected by the old and new world exchanges are the merchant’s, middlemen, consumers, suppliers and government of countries like America, Europe Africa and China who participated in the Columbia exchange trade (Hanke, 2017). The living standard of American suppliers who supplied the rest of the world with products like tobacco, tomatoes, and potatoes become stable due to the interest they earned from both the new and old world exchanges. Similarly, suppliers of countries like Spain from Europe also benefited from the trade. Consumer’s from America benefits from both the new and old world exchange for goods like medicine which were more efficient from Spain become more accessible to them. Similarly, the consumers from European countries like Spain also benefited from Columbian exchange for commodities like tobacco, tomatoes, and potatoes were made available to them from America.

3 How Trade Routes Affected Americans in the Colonies

A. Firstly, it improved the lifestyle of average Americans since it resulted in the creation of jobs from trade routes.

B. Additionally, it leads to the formation of new opportunities like management and accounting in trade sectors, thus leading some to change their occupation

C. Consequently, it leads to overexploitation of worker so as to meet the demand in the market. Due, to a large market in Europeans countries, Africa, China, and Russia workers in most industries in America were overexploited to meet the demand in the market

D. Furthermore, it leads to innovation of more goods. Industries in America started to create goods which were not similar to those being imported from China, Russia, and Europeans countries like Spain

E. Finally, it leads to labor specialization among most workers in America. Since more industries were created to meet the demand in the market.
