Project- Develop Marketing Plan

Project Assignment- Franky’s Automotive Repair

Develop a Marking Plan for a New Business/Service.

This project is to think about Marketing in a practical sense. This will gain experience formulating a plan, learning how each part is dependent on one another.

Develop the following elements of the Marketing planning process using the following listed below

· A mission statement

· A SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, & Threats)

· Competitive Advantages

· Proposed Strategy

· A Description of the target market

· A positioning strategy

· A brief outline of the Marketing mix strategies:

o The Product

o Pricing (Sales forecasting is NOT required)

o Promotion Strategies that satisfy the objective and address the target market.

o Implementation

Contents must include:

· Title Page

· Abstract

· Introduction on the company’s profile

· Executive Summary 1 page only

Conclusion and recommendation

· References (7-8) APA format. Use of higher level reference material is required, example such as ProQuest (WSJ, Bloomberg), Business Source Premier (EBSCO

host)

· 8-10 pages (not including title, abstract, and reference page)

For this project, I came up with a New Business name called Franky’s Automotive Repair. The business location will be in Henderson, Nevada. It will be a small

repair shop that is targeting a group of customers who are now keeping their vehicle longer because these days, cars are becoming more reliable, and people are more

likely holding onto their vehicle for longer than before. While the recession in 2008-2009 was a major factor behind the initial shift, people who are holding onto a

car longer does required higher maintenance which creates the opportunities for repair shops. This is where Franky’s Auto Repair comes in and fill in those needs for

those older vehicle models.

For this small repair shop, we start small with total of 6 employees. 1-Service Advisor, 4- mechanics, and 1- shop foreman. The Owner is Franky.

The Textbook I have been using for this course is MKTG 10. Feel free to use it as guide in assisting with the writing for this project.
