Design the organization of a web site – Software Engineering

In your readings, you have been learning about wireframes and how they are used to design the organization of a web site and the navigation options.

This exercise is to give you practice with composing a wireframe for two existing web sites. To keep the discussion focused, we will use restaurant web sites.

So, choose two different restaurant web sites (they can be a local restaurant or a national chain) and draw a wire frame for each one. Your wire frame can be hand drawn or use some electronic drawing type tool. If you hand draw the wire frame, when you submit your assignment just scan the drawing into a pdf file and include as part of your submission. (If it is a separate file, be sure it has your name on the drawing.) Use Chapter 5 of your required textbook as a model. You will also find good information about wireframes and site maps in the supplemental reading for Week 4.

In addition, discuss how the sites are similar and how they are different. Which site is easier to navigate and find things, why? Do you think they were designed for certain types of users? What are some suggestions you can make for improvements? You can use your textbook and any of the course readings as a reference to support your statements.

Your discussion should be 5-8 pages. (If you include screen shots, it may get longer.)
