After reading the textbook chapters and completing both M1D1 and M1A1, demonstrate your knowledge by answering the questions below. Each prompt or question should be answered in full sentences and should be approximately 100 words. You may use your textbook, Mastering Biology, or other outside sources as references, but you must Provide references using proper APA style formatting. For assistance with APA style formatting, visit the Library or the Excelsior OWL.

In this module, you learned about the properties of life. Discuss the eight common characteristics of living things. Include a specific example and/or statement that clearly demonstrates your understanding of each characteristic.
There are five unifying themes of biology. Identify each theme and explain them in your own words.
Water has unique chemical properties.
Where does ice form in rivers or lakes in extremely cold weather? Why?
What would happen to organisms on the planet if water behaved as most other chemicals do?
How are DNA and RNA molecules alike and different in their structure and functions?
