Development of Modern Electronic Dance Music
Written Research Paper—typewritten, double spaced 1200 words , 5 pages on average), due in class on the day of the in-class presentation. Each group should submit just one written report for the group. Please format your written report as follows:
- Cover Page: Team Member Information
- Title of the Presentation (History and Development of Modern Electronic Dance Music).
- Full names of each of the members of your group (First and Last Name)
- Name of the class (Music Appreciation, MUS 2300) and Class Time (MWF 10:00 AM).
- Report on the Topic (Several paragraphs)
- Definition and description of the topic (this should include a clearly and thoroughly stated definition of the genre, the instruments used in the genre, its place in history, its use in and effects on society, significant composers and artists, related musical styles, etc.)
- Analysis and discussion of three musical works that illustrate the topic. Also include biographical information about the composers/artists (birth and death dates, education and career highlights, etc.)
- Bibliography-A separate page at the end of the report listing the resources you used to gather your project information. Please use the Chicago Manual of Style format (Notes and Bibliography).
