Each student will be responsible for submitting three scholarly papers. The second paper will relate to a topic discussed in this module’s reading. Please select from the following topics listed below. Please keep in mind that this is a research paper, not a reaction or opinion paper. Your instructor is looking for cited information regarding the topic.
• Compare and contrast the difference between disparity and discrimination in the criminal justice system. Locate one current event that relates to either one of these terms and summarize the issue and discuss the outcome.
• Use your book and scholarly resources to research the difference(s) between first-degree murder, second- degree murder, third-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, and justifiable homicide. Write a paper on what you find.
