President Trump issued an Executive Order on January 27, 2017, banning citizens from the following countries from entering the United States: Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, and Somalia. This order immediately caused much controversy which resulted in Federal District Judge Robart of the state of Washington granting an order staying the implementation of Trump’s Executive Order. Trump’s people appealed Judge Robart’s stay order 9th circuit court of appeals. The stay was later upheld by a 3 judge panel for the 9th circuit court of appeals.
