Developing countries would be facing the casualties of approximately 10 million people by 2020 due to the excessive use of tobacco. Dr. Salama has shed light on the issues encountered by a smoker in Saudi Arabia. Smoking is prevalent in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, it is being permeated in students as well. The adults of Saudi Arabian University who smoke exuded a low level of exhaled nitric oxide as compared to those who do not smoke. This profoundly signifies the impact of smoking on the lungs of smokers. Around 80-90% of non-smokers death is due to lung cancer. The conventional solution to this problem is promoting the awareness regarding the hazard impacts of smoking. Another solution widely implemented is putting a ban on the tobacco advertisements.
