1. Discuss Detente ( A lessoning of Tensions) between the U.S and the Soviet Union in the years 1963-1980. Also, mention the World events that still caused friction during this period and why tensions intensified toward the end of the 1970’s.
2. The end of the Cold War occured between the years 1985-1991. Discuss what this meant to the Soviet Union, Europe, and the United States. Be sure to mention all the main players during this historic period.
3. The Vietnam War was a very unpopular War in the United States; develop an essay discussing important events in the war and how it ended. Be Sure to mention the United States Policies under Presidents’ Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon.
4. Dicuss the Post-Cold War World in relation to Science, Technology, economic trends, social and political trends, international relations and cultural trends.
5. The United States involvment in the Middle East has been very complex, discuss this involvment since 1990. Be sure to cover significant events during these years and the leaders invloved.
