Occupational health and safety Discussion Assignment

You select one of the six questions below to answer. Each answer must be minimum one page in length but can be longer. Answer the question by using the material in the previous lessons and/or any other resources. On the Blackboard “Mid-Term Discussion Assignment Forum” Board post the question you choose and the complete answer for the rest of the class to see. (Make sure the question number and description is included in the subject line so it will make it easier to review by the other students. ie – Question #2 – WHMIS.)
All students are then required to respond with a question to two other students answers to other questions than the one that you answered. The original author of the answer must then respond to all student comments.
NOTE: This is a time sensitive assignment so no extensions will be granted.
QUESTIONS:
1) Employers, employees, and the public should care about Occupational Health & Safety for three reasons. Name them and explain.
2) Identify and discuss the three components of WHMIS 1998.
3) Discuss the two main social goals of Worker’s Compensation.
4) When a worker does not wear PPE or wears it incorrectly, who is responsible? The company? The individual? Why? Explain your answer.
5) Identify and discuss the noise control strategy. Be sure to give examples of each.
6) Identify and discuss the four routes of entry that chemicals may enter the body. Be sure to give examples of each.
