Order Description
Write a paper that discusses the challenges of observation. The paper will move from description of something unfamiliar/uncomfortable ( Jewish culture, day to day, bar mitzvah, different church, gods, principles) commentary about your own relationship (or lack thereof) to the observed jews behavior,moral, culture, traditions to a critical question, to a discussion of the difficulties and complications of perception and observation. In your discussion, make at least one claim that responds to your critical question. Make one or more deliberate, surprising connections that clarify your claim or your train of thought. You may compare (if relevant) the experience of observing and describing the familiar/comfortable with the experience describing the unfamiliar/uncomfortable. You may end your essay lyrically, using the imagery you establish at the beginning, or with a stipulative definition of something of significance that you have discovered in the process of writing this paper
