Look at the list (below) of values listed by one of the local libraries. This list is to help you understand what the library is trying to do – and what it would like to do (present and future). Using this list of values, and using the information from your studies this week, create a Mission Statement, a Vision Statement, and Goal Statements for the library. Create statements that reflect the core values of this library – as you see them. Research other definitions or examples of Mission, Vision, and Goal statements to help you with ideas.

Remember you will need at least two APA formatted references in your initial post, so find good resources about “Mission Statement” or “Vision Statement”.
Discussion Participation Requirements
REMEMBER: The point of a discussion forum is to learn from our shared conversation—sharing experiences and research-backed positions and knowledge—to jointly learn more thoroughly than we can alone. It is expected you will read and consider the posts of your classmates and instructor.
WHAT: You will be writing three or more Discussion posts per week. Your main post must be a 250+ word minimum and include at least two references/citations. Please follow up with two subsequent replies to colleagues. Each reply should consist of a relevant paragraph containing 75 words or more.
WHY: Discussion questions are designed for you to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the weekly material. This forum provides an opportunity to develop ideas and concepts with your instructor and peers. The Discussion format assists with development of communication skills and critical thinking necessary for success in the modern workplace.
HOW: Your postings should be substantive, demonstrate independent thought relevant to the topic, and encourage continued discussion. Please avoid simply repeating previous posts and agreeing. Provide supporting evidence of your ideas and opinions through the use of personal or work examples, relevant articles or websites, or concepts covered in the week’s readings.
