Diversity is something that is absolutely embraced in my organization
Paper details:

please answered seperately. just write comments for three thoughts. First thought; Diversity is something that is absolutely embraced in my organization. Not only does
it benefit the patients we serve and our community members but it also benefits staff as co-workers. Embracing diversity gives us a performance advantage because we
are able to take care of our patients much better than we would otherwise. The U.S. Census Bureau predicts that within the next 50 years, nearly one half (48%) of the
nation's population will be from cultures other than White, non-Hispanic.By 2030, people of color will comprise nearly 28% of Delaware population, up from 23% in
2000. We have a whole team dedicated to diversity and inclusion that have created a strategic vision that is shared company wide. There are also multiple multicultural
heritage committees in place throughout all of our offices in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey whose sole purpose is to educate our staff on different cultures,
ethnicities, backgrounds, etc. There are also strong efforts put towards not only embracing differences but being able to share them in a respectful way. Embracing
each other’s differences has brought staff closer and stronger and can be seen through our patient satisfaction survey results.
Second thought: The organization I currently work for does an outstanding job embracing diversity which leads us to be named “The best organization to work for in
South Jersey” for 7 years running. My organization uses a few tactics that are proven to be successful and drive positive performance metrics. We utilize an employee
satisfaction survey that serves as an assessment of diversity in the workplace. This survey has been successful with assisting the management team with determining the
challenges and obstacles diversity present in the workplace. Along with the survey, the company’s fosters an attitude of openness. The leadership teams are trained on
ways to encourage employees to express their ideas and opinions and attribute a sense of equal value to all. Lastly we provide a yearly diversity competency required
for each employee to complete before Nov 1st of the current year.

These actions towards embracing diversity have foster positive performance metrics for my organization. We are consistently in the top percentage of quality and safety
metrics along with employee engagement. The communication and tools provided to leadership has promoted a great cultural and high moral.
third thought: My organization embraces diversity in all sectors of the organization. From our mail carriers to administration age, background, and culture vary. I
have found the variation in age has benefited me. I have a lot of interaction with an employee of 25 years and she has helped answer questions and has shown me the
culture of the organization. She has explainedÕÉ≠†Њ† how things have always been to how she thinks they should be. We have worked together in hopes of change in our
organization. I believe our experience and age difference has benefited the both of us. She provides honesty in relation to the company and my new view of the company
makes for a positive work relationship. It is nice to see retired eemployees returning for part tiem work as well as employees from backgrounds outside of the school
district. We have recently hired a young CPA and ex auditor who works frequently with an employee of over 30 years and a strict background in the school system. It is
nice to have a fresh take on methods of an existing system and have that collaborate with the veterans of the company. It has made for a great blend of old and new
that results in increased performance and quality.
