This is a Three Page Research Proposal assignment for my East Asian Politics Research paper(15 pages). Note that anyone who gets assigned on this 3 page proposal is also likely to be given the order for the actual paper, so please treat this seriously. My paper topic will be what socio-economical lessons that China could learn from Japan on policy making considering that China is facing the same situation that Japan has faced couple decades ago (slowing economic growth, aging population, real estate bubbles etc..). What you need to do in this assignment is to narrow the topics down to equal or less than 3 aspects and be specific! More detailed guidelines are attached.

More Important, You also need to follow the professor’s requirements listed down.
You must submit a three page research proposal by February 25. Your proposal should include:
1) the issue or debate to be investigated. Specifically, what is your research question?
2) justification of your choice, i.e. why do you choose the topic or why is it important?
3) a hypothesis or a set of hypotheses based on a preliminary literature review, i.e. your tentative answer(s) to your research question.
4) methodology, i.e. briefly explain how you are going to conduct your research and defend your thesis.
5) Significance of your project, e.g. how will your research contribute to the general understanding of the issue? What will be new in your research that is not yet known to others?
6) Include a preliminary bibliography at the end.
