Education- Statistics

Each of the two research article publications must utilize a statistical technique for example Multiple Regression, Chi Square, ANOVA or Pearson test. Answers to these questions should be addressed

• What is/are the Independent Variable?
• What is/are the Dependent Variable? • What are the Levels of Measurement for each Variable (Independent and Dependent)?
• What are the Research Questions?
• What is the Research Hypothesis or Null Hypothesis being studied? •How will this study impact your degree concentration area (i.e Counseling, Educational Administration, Curriculum & Instruction or Health and Kinesiology)

For this assignment the student will create a study proposal that contains all the elements of a scientific research study.  Students will be required to choose an educational topic of their choice for this project.  Students will present their findings during Week 14 & 15 of the semester.

Each Research Proposal will contain the following sections:

1)     Introduction

1. Purpose of Study/Statement of the Problem
2. Research Questions
3. Hypothesis

2)     Background

3)     Literature Review

4)     Methods

1. Independent and dependent variables
2. Levels of Measurement
3. Instrument
4. Method of Analysis

5)     Conclusion
