Effectiveness of Risk Assessment Planning
For this Assignment, the instructor will assign you a risk assessment plan for a man-made and/or natural crisis scenario. You will review the plan and write a 3–5-page paper predicting and appraising the effectiveness of risk assessment planning. In your paper, identify and discuss the five characteristics of effective risk assessment plans (specific to the plan scenario you reviewed):

Assess and analyze the risk
Develop strategies to mitigate the risk
Evaluate the strategies
Implement and monitor
Additionally, determine if effective threat, vulnerability, and consequence assessments were conducted and determine the validity and reliability of the planning based on the assessments (follow the corresponding rubric and assignment checklist). Submit a draft of your paper for instructor/peer review to the Discussion Board by Thursday. On the Discussion Board, you should review and post comments on at least 1–2 papers. The peer review process is designed to provide constructive input. As you review others’ work, do so in a respectful manner designed to help your fellow students.
Please note: This Assignment will require outside research. Use at least two credible sources beyond the text material and discuss how you evaluated the credibility of the resources used.
