Employee survey creation

Your assignment is to create a survey for three dimensions/constructs that you think are appropriate for GP Corporation. For the purpose of this project, we will assume that your items have gone through pilot testing and you have finalized the items for the survey.

What you will need to do is:

  • Choose three constructs you would include in the survey based on the info you have about GP Corporation to date (Although a typical employee opinion survey commonly has more than 3 dimensions/constructs, you will only be writing items for three.)
  • Define each construct. This should be a brief description that captures the essence of the items.
  • Develop items for each of the dimensions/constructs you chose to work on.
  • Identify an appropriate rating scale for your items; include the numeric values (1-5) and their anchors (i.e., strongly disagree)
  • Be sure to cover all aspects of that construct with your survey items.
  • For the purpose of this project, you are expected to design at least 5 and no more than 10 items per dimension.
  • Develop demographic items that are appropriate for GP Corporation and rating scales for these items.
  • Since this is a classroom assignment (vs. a real survey), also provide a written rationale of why you think the dimensions and items are appropriate for GP Corporation. The rationale should be placed in an Appendix of this document.
