Engineering – Electrical Engineering

1: Multi-view sketch

Sketch the necessary views of the object shown in Figure 1, following the guidelines below

a) Assume the front, top, and right-side surfaces are shown.

b) The units shown are 0.5 inches and 0.25 inches.

c) Use Layout A-2 on engineering pad

d) Choose a scale that fits at least 90% of the paper

e) Do NOT dimension

f) Leave construction lines in place

Question 2: Dimensioning

Consider the locator and its 3 principal views shown in figure 2a respectively 2b below:

a) Reproduce the given views on an engineering pad using an A-2 layout

b) Choose a scale that fits at least 90% of the paper

c) Add all the necessary dimensions

a. Use values given in the figure 2a

b. Locate them correctly in figure 2b

Hint: All given dimensions are necessary

Question 3: Missing lines

Consider the figure 3 shown below:

d) Sketch the given views on an engineering pad using an A-2 layout

e) Choose a scale that fits at least 90% of the paper

f) Add all the missing lines.

g) Roughly sketch the 3-D isometric object

Note. The squares may be either .250”or 5mm
