War is the most controversial event that can consume a country. It brings all of the human elements that make up the worst of us—killing, murder, cruelty, brutality, torture, rape, starvation, humiliation, dehumanization, and so forth. Yet when a country goes to war a majority of its population unites making war the sole symbol of patriotism. Therefore, since war is so consuming and millions have and are being killed by its reach, we need an analysis of our countries war’s and undeclared military engagements. What have been the reasons for Americas war and interventions? Please examine more than one U.S. foreign entanglement! After all we did start this course off with the Indian Wars. You can make a case that some of these engagements were justified, after all I believe the U.S. needed to enter WWII. Just make sure you offer evidence to support your opinion. Remember I want you to look at the official line given for war and then compare them to the “real” reasons for war. Plus interject your own opinion but support it with evidence!
