Your paper is to focus on the following sequence in the film – begin at approximately 1:54 into the film when Connie and Carlo fight, through Sonny’s murder, Tom telling Don Vito of the death, Don Vito’s conversation with the mortician, and ending at approximately 2:06 with Apollonia’s murder in Sicily.When discussing the elements listed below, you must explain your reasons for your answers in a way that (1) shows your understanding of the concepts discussed in the chapter and (2) shows thoughtful insight into how and why the filmmakers used those concepts when making their film. In other words, describe the creative/production filmmaking process: (1) creative intent and (2) a choice of form that (3) manipulates the audience into thinking and feeling what the filmmakers want.
