Soda and its health effects
In American cost of health care is the most significant part of families’ expense. One of the reasons for the rise of health care cost is the rise of child obesity, diabetes and heart attacks. Millions of American is exposed to child obesity, type II diabetes and kidney disease. The number one contributor to this problem is the excessive drinking of soda. Soda is carbonated water with different flavors, additives and preservatives. What make soda dangerous is its content of phosphoric acid and other preservative ingredients. Even though the problem is serious, and it touches almost every family, soda companies double down their product and intensify their advertisement. These companies are so powerful that they influence elected officials and congress. It is very difficult to influence or stop the production of soda legislatively or otherwise. The only solution we have, which truly will change the soda company to produce healthy soft drinks is by refraining from drinking their sodas.
