Evaluate the feasibility of recommend policy

Evaluate the feasibility of recommend policy

Review your classmates’ post who chose different core measures than you. In a substantial post to each, evaluate the feasibility of putting together their recommended policy and/or procedure for a health care facility. Explain whether or not you think there is a better way to ensure that this core measure is followed.

You must use at least one additional scholarly source in your response. Your response posts must be a minimum of 100 words Jerod The core measure I selected was substance abuse, because this is a real big issue in America that our government has not seem to get a control of.

When patients come into a hospital under the influence of substance abuse they are set policies and procedures that required for the workers to take, so that everyone is safe. Depending on how serious someone’s substance abuse can be patients can be placed into rehabilitation’s centers. This is a policy that a lot hospitals have into place to help patients.

Rehab centers my conduct studies as well to try to help patients out. According to Substance Abuse and Vocational Rehabilitation program directors from 56 public VR agencies throughout the United States were recruited to participate in our study (Sprong, 2014). The plan was have patients take survey’s to see why people with mental issues have higher chance becoming substance abuse compared to people that don’t have mental issues.

The policies I believe can work in hospitals is make sure surveillance cameras are always on, investigate employees if a situation gets out of control and causes harm to anyone, make sure all employees are well educated on substance abuse take training’s that could educate them.

It is also important to make hospitals keep all patients private, unless they sign a consent form for the information to be released.
