Create the experiment to test whether lack of sleep has the influence on someone’s ability to detect the faint signal (e.g., a faint light, a faint sound, etc.). Make sure to specify your 1) experimental hypothesis and recognize your 2) independent and dependent variables, also your 3) experimental and control groups. 4) Recognize any experimental procedures which would help to make sure reliability of research (e.g., operational definitions, variables to be controlled).
