Here are 6 topics, choose one topic to write a minimum of 4 pages paper.
1. Explain the role of religion in the ancient world. In your answer use Judaism, Hinduism and Buddhism. Also, in your answer, explain how ancient peoples perceived their worlds.
2. Compare the world view of ancient peoples with our modern world view. Put religion and science in their relative places in the modern world.
Ancient World: Religion: God or the gods controlled everything.
Modern world: Science is our answer to everything.
3. Explain why the Greeks are important to the modern world. What concepts of theirs have we adopted for our modern way of life?
4. Compare the religions of Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. How are they alike? How are they different?
5. What is the influence of Greece and Rome on our present, modern world?
6. Feudalism in the Middle Ages
