financial analysis project with ratio analysis
You are responsible for completing a financial analysis project that is designed to help you apply the concepts learned in the class. You have to complete the project with a team. There will be four teams in the class.
You will be selecting Ford and Toyota within the same industry for research and analysis. You should plan to search some of the online databases in the library (e.g., Value Line Investment Survey) and/or the Internet (e.g. your companies’ web site, websites related to your selected industry, and the Securities and Exchange Commission website) for information about your industry and chosen companies.
You are expected to provide your opinion on the financial statements and overall financial health of your chosen companies. This should include analyzing major trends, future prospects, and industry concerns as well as profitability, asset utilization, liquidity, solvency, etc. using the 4 ratios covered in class(attached in ppt). Your ratio analysis should cover at least three years. Ratios and other supporting information should be included as appendices to the written report, but the written portion should stand on its own.
