Opportunity – Establish the opportunity (we formerly would have called this the problem/gap/need).
Idea – State your idea.
Description – Describe your idea with enough detail that effectively conveys it to others.
Solution – State the reason for the idea being an opportunity (we formerly would have said the reason as to why this solves a problem/gap/need). Include support material for your solution, such as customer reviews of the problem/gap/need, your own research, or through journals and newspapers (a theme you’ve noticed that’s a problem/gap/need).
Selection – Explain your reasoning in choosing this idea.
