1-2 Pages

The Facts: Jenna Monroe is being charged with tax evasion. To prove her guilt at trial, the Prosecution seeks to offer the evidence identified below.

Exemplars of her handwriting;
A transcript of a phone call between Ms. Monroe and an IRS agent regarding her taxes;
Copies of tax returns that she had filed with the Internal Revenue Service; and
Her refusal to answer deposition questions regarding those returns.
Would the granting of any of these requests violate either or both Ms. Monroe’s Fourth and/or Fifth Amendment rights under the United States Constitution? If so, why? If not, why not?

With respect to each request, justifying your response with references to cases, your text, and/or other reputable sources (Wikipedia is not a reputable source). In choosing the materials that you cite, please note that if you have primary authority (e.g., the Constitution, case law), you should cite to it, rather than to secondary authority (e.g., your text, a law review article), although you are also encouraged to use secondary authority to further support your argument. As noted in the Syllabus/Documents section of this site, please be sure to use the appropriate citation format.
