Gender equality in management and governance

Gender equality in management and governance seeks to see women appointed to managerial positions. This is because for a long time now management roles have been left for men. There should be policy guidelines that can promote proactive efforts to achieve this through considering women for corporate board of directors in different organizations and institutions. Additionally, there should be inclusion of gender equality as a key factor considered in any performance measure. This can be done by mobilizing all the resources that can be used in encouraging gender initiatives in the organization. Ruby (2005), stated women are seem weak mentally and physically in the military women are not aggressive and are strength. Women do not want to be label as men, female want to be label feminist that represent pure, nurturing, and motherly (Ruby,2005). Women and men should have the same opportunities in the military and training both gender have good aspects, now a day, women in the military has an important role as a leader and a combat (Ruby,2005). For instance, women go to Iraq and in some occasions, they return home in a body bag we have to give women and men the same respect and opportunities. Schoen lectures (March 9,2017), explains some people suffer from self-esteem and self- concept and have negative thoughts about themselves the same occur to women who are seeking the same rights in the management and governance field. Majority of studies has proven female experience assault and rape between 9.5 and 33% in the military (Wilson & Turchick, 2010). Women and men has the same abilities and knowledge to work in a skill field.
