Identify three newspaper articles pertaining to the Ghetto (the underclass and the racial
encoding of space and place)- These articles may be drawn from the Los Angela
Times, New York Times, or The Economist (or other reliable online newspaper
sources). The articles should be recent, preferably oldest September 2016- Read the
three articles describe the arguments made by the authors, review the evidence
provided to support those arguments, and reflect on the arguments. In terms of the
reflection, ask yourself: Is the argument substantiated by the empirical evidence
provided; is it plausible; do you have a different interpretation or take on the argument,
and if so why? Then write one concise paragraph (no longer than 150 words) per
article, describing the argument and providing your reflections as detailed above.
