Choose a function within a HIM department, and discuss the application(s) that are involved in carrying out the function. What applications are used and how do these application(s) impact the outcomes of the department? How does the use of this application affect the quality of care to the patient? When answering this question, try to pick a function that has not yet been discussed, or offer new insight and information if you are responding on a function that has already been addressed.
