History of Juvenile Options Timeline

Step 1  Create a visual timeline of options for juvenile offenders.

Use Microsoft PowerPoint to create a visual timeline showing the historical basis for the options available for juvenile offenders. Your timeline should include milestones for the following areas of the Juvenile Justice System:

• Juvenile probation
• Community-based programs for juveniles
• Delinquency prevention programs
• Diversion programs
• Aftercare programs

Step 2  Provide examples from your community.

For each of the five areas, provide at least one representative example in your community. If your community does not have a program, research the nearest larger community. Define each type of program in one sentence.

Step 3  Be concise and organized.

You can use an outline, textboxes, graphics, and so on.
