Use examples such as the invasion of finland and the baltic states. Finland especially, how they were a neutral helpless nations against the might russia army. Talk about the pacts made with Nazy Germany as well anything you can find to show the bad side of the Soviets. Talk about the genocide on its own citizens and the murder of other nations citizens and killing of its own soldiers. Talk about how the soviets were not really our ally but looking out for their own interests.
