Humans, as a species, have immeasurably altered the natural environment in the last century to a degree that is unprecedented in geological history. Our relationship to nature has also changed. Can you think of a way that our ancestors at the turn of the 20th century interacted with some aspect of nature in a way that is foreign to us today? What do you think the world’s environment will look like in 75 years when most of us will likely be dead? What are some ways we interact with the environment or use it that are likely to change in a radical way in your lifetime?
