Individual Assignment #1 – Hiring for Sales

  1. Read the job description and make sure you figure out what are the most important requirements you are looking for.  You need to be clear on what is your criteria to rank the candidates.
  2. Collect and review the job application for the members of your Team. I suggest you all complete the application once and share with all members, along with your resume.
  3. Conduct a short (10 minute) interview with each candidate.  Prepare at least three questions that will help you rank the candidates based on your criteria.
  4. Evaluate all candidates (your team members) and rank them according to your criteria for selection.  I suggest a side by side table with the criteria you selected.

Deliverable:  Submit in the dropbox below a memo explaining the following:

  • Your recommendation for hiring the top ranked candidate.
  • Your criteria you used and the rationale for your recommendation.
  • Include the ranking document as an appendix to your recommendation.
