Infant Observation (worth 40 points) MUST BE TYPED
Prior to your observation read chapters 1-5 in your textbook. The information will be helpful when discussing the development of the infant you observed.

Observation: Watch the video clip and keep a running record of the infant’s behavior. (Use form included). Note what the infant is doing, including speech sounds, interactions with toys, parent, body movements, body expressions, and play behavior. Describe as you actually observe the episode using the present tense.
Include the following in your typed paper:
Physical characteristics: Discuss the physical appearance of the infant, including: body size, body proportions, complexion, hair color, and physical features. I should be able to picture the child in my mind from your description. (Worth 5 points.)
Analysis: Analyze the observation according to what you have learned from the textbook, class discussions, and any prior knowledge you have about infants. What can you say about the infant? Provide evidence and support from your observation by using child development terminology, concepts, and theories to explain your observation.
This should be 4-5 paragraphs. You must go into detail and use what you have been learning in this course to support your analysis!
