What is the business model for innovation in your chosen company? How can it be improved?

You may find the following points useful in completing your group report.  The group report should display the ability to blend the theoretical concepts and frameworks introduced in the course with the ‘real world’ data and knowledge gained from your chosen case company o It should be critical in orientation i.e. can you choose appropriate concepts and frameworks to apply to your company?

The group report should provide a holistic picture of your company and its approach to innovation by giving insight into the innovation-based processes/activities of your case company:

• How your company manages innovation internally (and externally)? o How your company appropriates and exploits innovation?

• There are a lot of articles/reports about employee satisfaction regarding their experiences working at Amazon, and many of them are negative because the working environment is very robotic, repetitive, and some even compares themselves to machines. (this goes against the idea that was discussed in the previous seminar about “creating space” for employees to be creative, share ideas and come up with innovative solutions for business development. In fact, there are articles saying that Amazon employees are unable to communicate with each other at work in order to increase efficiency. But, is this a good corporate culture to have for innovation to take place? – We can highlight this in our recommendation.)
