Topic: Interior Design Concept Design

Task: I have checked the writer ID who helped me write my previous Interior Design writing.

I have provided a draft of the Interior Design report here.
Part A) I would like to write into a paragraph format to compare the 3 Concept Designs (strength and weakness against each other). The list is given in table.

Part B) I would like to rewrite in better English expression and grammar.

Part A) Comparison and analysis of the 3 Concept Design
Would like to write in paragraph a comparison of the 3 Concept Designs base on their strengths and weaknesses. Thanks.
Concept Design #1
Strength:
The style of the house or residence structure blends harmoniously with the neighborhood, as only a few of Mr Dior’s neighbors have mono pitched roofing design. Therefore, it offers the chance to be unique and stand out from the other houses that have been constructed using different models.
The house has large glass walls and doors that allow plenty of natural light in the room. Such is important especially for the studio as it offers a scenic view of the entire compound as well as saving on the cost of electricity. The double height ceiling and glass walls provide a spectacular panoramic view of the surroundings as well. This works particularly well for all those who consider themselves lovers of nature and the environment.
The mezzanine design also provides openness to the studio and as a result, maximizes space. The concept of space will prove to be vital as it allows one to add extra items to the house. The house has a toilet and sink (wet station) located in the studio that is convenient when working on art. It enables Mr Dior to clean tools without having to walk all the way to the living room.
Weakness:
The mono pitched roof design is too common and is not representative of the client’s creative artistic lifestyle. The style may be described as mundane by most people who consider themselves to be artistic. The glass walls and doors offer little regarding privacy as everything that goes on in the house, as well as its contents, are laid bare for everyone to see. The high ceilings and walls make it difficult to do things such as clean or change the light bulbs.

Concept Design #2
Strength:
This studio residence is a contemporary architectural design and represents one of the most creative designs. It is relatively uncommon and offers the chance to be unique in the midst of conventional models that are flooding the real estate market. The house also has large glass walls and doors that offer plenty of natural light for the studio. The fact that the house is a single storey makes it easy to change the light bulbs and to clean the walls.
Weakness:
The living area is too small and may not be suitable for an Mr Dior who wants to have friends come for gathering. There is no direct access from the studio to the gallery. This is because the two are separated the living zone. There is no toilet and sink in the studio. A lack of convenience that comes with not having these two. One has to walk all the way to the living area to clean up or use the wash area. High ceiling is one of the significant features that Mr Dior, however this design lack of a high ceiling means that the natural lighting cannot be adequately used.
Concept Design #3
Strength:
The studio apartment is a modern or contemporary architectural design with a beautiful roof, which resembles a canvas and offers a lot regarding creativity and imagination. It is also filled with natural lighting because of the large glass windows and doors. The double height of the ceiling and glass walls provide a panoramic view of the surroundings. The mezzanine design also provides and openness which maximizes space.

Weakness:
The studio lacks a toilet and a sink, and this makes walking to the living area an inconvenience to an artist. There is also a lack of privacy that is associated with too many glass walls and windows. The high ceilings also make changing light bulbs and cleaning quite difficult.
Part b)
Would like to rewrite using better English expression and structure. Thanks
New design – under stairs toilet

In the new design is the toilet (wet station) is built at the corner of the studio, it may block the view and create a strange view from the outside seeing a small room at the corner of the glass wall. As the main idea of my client’s design theme is to maximize the view and increase openness. It is recommended to utilize the space under the stairs efficiently and built the toilet under the stair. By doing so, the toilet is near to the working area. Since there is no bathtub in this toilet, there is no issue with heat water system and the plumbing and connection the bathroom’s plumbing system.

Expand the open air of the studio
In order to expand the open air space for the studio, the new design will push the Mezzanine platform back a bit because there is already a living room for my client to relax and gather with his friends, the upstairs are is mainly function as bed room and working station for computer graphic design. By reduce the platform covering area, the studio becomes bigger, this can enhance the ventilation and openness of the studio design.
Evaluation of the final design against the Design Criteria and Recommendations
Design Criteria: User-centred, Form & Color, Performance, Function, Material, Representation)
Overall architectural design:
Overall, the Final Design satisfied the requirements outlined in the Design Criteria specified by the client. Regarding the Form and Color, the design employed the ‘Simplicity’ theme, which has achieved the sense of simplicity that fit his lifestyle. The high ceiling and large spans of windows improve the visual openness of the interior and accentuate simple and clean lines for contemporary design. The furniture including the lighting, sofa, shelves and dining table and chair set also featured straight-line and simple geometric shapes which complement the contemporary design of the interior. The color scheme uses in the interior design such as walls, window frames, flooring are based on the realm of neutrality with my client’s preferable colors. With regard to the function, 2 concealed beds located on the Mezzanine for guests to stay overnight. During day time one of the concealed bed can be flipped up and transformed to a desk for my client to work on graphic design, another bed can be transformed into a bookshelf and maximize storage spaces. All the materials are sustainable, easy maintenance and cost effective. The floorings used moisture tolerant and cleanable and the metal roof, window and door frames are durable and low maintenance. The covering material of the sofa and dining chairs can withstand wear and cleanable. The flexibility of the interior design environment (including the large side door near to the parking area which can be opened wide for my client to move his large pieces of artworks to his car in shortest distance, the cost effective metal beautiful roof which is durable, energy efficient and have good rainwater drainage). The final design has covered the performance aspect of the criteria and the residence studio was designed with the intention of being user-centered.
Quality of presentation drawings (2D floor plans & 3D modeling)
According to the client, the final presentation drawings are impressive and meet his expectations. He has good comments on the rendered and 3D models of the interior views of the residence studio. The 3D presentations give my client realistic pictures of what the final interior design and decorations will look like. However, the exterior 3D view of the residence studio cannot fully simulate the outdoor environment which creates a fake (unreal) image at the background.
Recommendations for improvement
Area of improvement includes the visual representation of the outdoor environment of the residence studio, flooring color and roof material texture are lacking realistic looks. More work should be done on the 3D model rendering and lighting effects to produce a higher quality and professional graphic presentation. Minor aspects such as wall decoration and storage shelves do not match with the theme of the design, this is the limitation because the extra style of BIM objects are not available in the Graphic Software library and could not be found in the Internet. In order to produce a more professional visual presentation, it is recommended to use the new version of Artlantis for better rendering effect.

Conclusion:
Mr Client is satisfied with the final design concept; I will follow his recommendation to enhance the details of the visual presentation. Our architecture will refine the drawings and incorporate BIM of the electrical and light system, water pumping system and structural components. The final plan will be presented to Mr Client upon completion. Upon client acceptance on the final design, our next step will need to source building materials and furniture, and provide a final estimation of material prices to the client then I will cooperate with the builder to do construction work.
