Project 2 Part 1: Assume that your law firm has undertaken the representation of the Bishops from the Swimming Pool fact pattern. The case has been filed in the Circuit Court for Shelby County, Alabama. The litigation has now entered the discovery phase and Mr. Reece (your supervising attorney) has requested that you draft a set of Interrogatories to be served on the Attorney for the Cookes, Anne Taylor. You only have ten (10) interrogatories, so you should seek specific relevant information necessary to the plaintiff’s case. Do not request the basic or introductory information that some interrogatories begin with, instead use your critical thinking skills, and legal analysis to provide your supervising attorney with a superior pleading. Make sure your pleading satisfies the requirements of the Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure. Part 2: Assume that your supervising attorney, Mr. Reece, has requested that you draft a Request for Production of Documents (which may include, photographs, notes, etcetera) to be served on the Cookes. Remember to draft the request with “reasonable particularity” so as to satisfy the requirements of the Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure. Select the documents, photographs, notes, etcetera that you are requesting very carefully as you are only allowed to make ten (10) requests in your pleading. |
