Investing in Physical Commodities

Read almost like a primer for investing in physical commodities, as opposed to investment via methods of like futures, ETFs or through the purchase of stocks or mutual funds.

Some potential relevant topic to address would be the: the options that individuals or large institutions have to invest in physical commodities, the availability and location of storage, the effects of shipping and transportation, and the impact of additional expenses like insurance and lease rates. Also, some other concepts like the idea of the convenience yield and discount rates which are utilized for valuing commodity investment would be beneficial.

I would like potential sources to include, but not be limited to, white papers, research by financial institutions and academic research. I provided an estimate of roughly 25 sources, however, I would be fine if the sources end up slightly below or any amount above.

I hope this provides an overview of what the paper should entail, and I would be glad to provide additional insight if needed
