Use PowerPoint to create a WBS in chart form for a web development project of your choosing (or you may select another type of IT project you are familiar with). It should be similar to the chart in Figure 5-4. Select an activity in level 2 and decompose it into a level 3. Then select an activity in level 3 and decompose it into a set of level 4 work packages. Remember, WBSs are used to define the total scope of a project so your level 2 should reflect that.

Recreate the same WBS defined above using Microsoft Project or Microsoft Excel, indenting categories appropriately. Number the items of the WBS appropriately following the same format illustrated in Figure 5-4.
