Reda is a student in high school who leaved in France with his family. I think, Reda’s brother has more information about Islam more than Reda. Reda’s brother appears
on the movie few times but he used bunch of Islamic words. Even when the father and Reda were going to leave to Mecca, he gave Reda his camera to take some pictures of
Mecca, However, Reda took pictures on the beginning of the trip of some views he likes. The father knows that Reda has to know more about the religion. Therefore he
took Reda with him to Mecca to do the hajj. Reda’s father did not like what his son was doing. Therefoe he had to try to be strong with him. In addition he throw his
son’s phone so he can not connect with his girlfriend “who the father did not like because the religion does not approve this kind of relationships ”. In my opinion,
there are two reasons that Reda is different form his brother. The first one is the huge gap between the ages of the father and his youngest child Reda. Reda’s father
was younger when he had his oldest child. So he had the complete energy. And the second reason is that the oldest son be born on a Muslim county. And the father
himself is a Muslim who follows and practices the religion. He praise when the time of the prayers arrives. He even read the Quran while sitting on the car, did not
drink. Reda loves his father. He was Keening to the safety of his father when they were snowed in. However he did not want to leave France for going to Pilgrimage what
he was not cure even to ask about it. Some where on the way to Mecca “when it was cold” Reda asked his father ((why did not you fly to Mecca?)). The father said that
he wanted the reward from god. Reda accepted what his father said and also he listened to the store of how did his grandfather go to Mecca by a mule and how did the
father said that he will never forget that day. From here Reda and his father started to talk a little bit. When they got close to Mecca they did not has much quarrel.
Reda seemed to be calm, even though he did not ask about Pilgrimage. He did not pray when all the people was praying. Reda’s father was truly happy and Reda realized
that. Of course after the death of the father Reda was extremely sad. He got ready to go back to France by his car that he came with his father on. In my opinion that
means he changed and he would have gone back as a different person, because he could have gone back on a flight. Also he gave the poor woman some money and that is
something he was not habitual to do.
