journal
In the Leadership content segment, you’ll begin a “journal” recording your work experiences as they intersect course topics. This is an opportunity for you to showcase
your creativity using course material to support/explain what occurred in workplace situations. Each entry (approximately one single spaced page; (12 point Times New
Roman font, one inch margins)) will describe how an actual situation at your work (or a work situation in general) can be improved using management concepts provided
within the respective course unit. You’ll make one entry for each of three course topics: Leadership, Motivation, and Conflict/Teams&Groups. Remember to use APA style,
and to format your references accordingly.
Mid-term, you will remit a journal with three entries on topics we have covered up to that point. This will include an Executive Summary, one entry for each of the
first three course topics:
( (1) Leadership, Managing in the 21st Century; (2)Conflict/Teams&Groups; (3) Motivation;
Each entry should include insights you gained from the required text reading, along with real life experiences or applications of the knowledge learned. Include
stories from work, news, or other reflections. These should be buttressed with research support, in an effort to showcase your mastery of the material through
application of course concepts. Explain how a situation at work (or a work situation in general) could be improved using the concepts provided in the course module.
Please DO NOT summarize the text or web-based information. This journal should be a reflection of what you have learned and how you will utilize this information.
Your journal should be submitted in a WORD document comprised of entries that are approximately one single spaced page each (NOTE: all three entries should be in the
same document). At the beginning of each entry, state the unit number and name (i.e., Unit 1 – Leadership). Remember to follow the APA style guidelines format for your
