You have been asked by your manager to write an individual report on management functions and leadership styles. You will need to choose a well-known business leader from the airline and aviation industry

1. Discuss the roles any manager performs in an organization..
2. Identify and analyze the management approach, personality (Use the Big 5 Model) and leadership style of a selected business leader from an airline or an aviation-related organization.
3. Discuss the effectiveness of the leadership style of the chosen leader and how it has affected the performance of the organization. You need to examine the growth, financial performance, awards received and any employee feedback during the time period this chosen leader led the organization. Use published facts and figures to justify your discussion.

Please be guided by the following:

1. a) Students are required to demonstrate their understanding and application of the course principles taught in the module
2. b) Course lectures / slides and prescribed text book will assist you to complete the assignment however it is expected that students would do some additional research and apply own company knowledge or work experience when using examples to illustrate points made during written submissions
3. c) Please ensure all submission are in Arial, 12 font with 1.5 spacing and all responses are numbered as per the question sheet
4. d) Please respond only to the question asked – your response should be guided by the word count and the marks allocated to the question.
5. e) Referencing and Bibliography following “Harvard Style” is a compulsory requirement
6. g) Word limits 1500-2000.
7. h) Deduction will be applied for late submission 1 week (10%), 2 weeks (20%). After two weeks your assignment will not be considered.
8. i) Assignment must be submitted on EAU Moodle via the Turnitin link on the due date
