Order Description
Students are to reflect on their clinical experience to date and identify an issue of interest to research related to nursing.
Students are then required to conduct a review of the literature related to their chosen topic.
My question is “The effects of compassion fatigue on nurses. ”
The review must include the following:
• An Introduction/Background
-This section describes the clinical problem/issue being addressed and explains why it is problem
-This section will conclude with the articulation of the research question which the
literature review will attempt to answer
• Methods
-Search strategy
-Search terms, databases accessed
-Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
-Criteria for determining study quality
• Results
-Summarises trends/themes in the literature (but does not describe individual studies)
• Discussion
– What do the results of the review mean for clinical practice or research or the
profession?
• Conclusion
