Discover how police deal with juvenile crime problems. Specifically, determine the following:
What programs do they have?
What specialized units do they have?
What are the specific challenges your local community or state faces in this area?
Step 2Summarize your findings.
Write a one-page paper that summarizes your findings. Cite your resources appropriately using proper APA format.
Create a visual timeline of options for juvenile offenders.
Use Microsoft PowerPoint to create a visual timeline showing the historical basis for the options available for juvenile offenders. Your timeline should include milestones for the following areas of the Juvenile Justice System:
Juvenile probation
Community-based programs for juveniles
Delinquency prevention programs
Diversion programs
Aftercare programs
Step 2Provide examples from your community.
For each of the five areas, provide at least one representative example in your community. If your community does not have a program, research the nearest larger community. Define each type of program in one sentence.
