DETAILS: Write a paper on a topic in the area of management. Specifically, students will choose a particular management topic, and identify a specific TV program episode or movie scene that illustrates this topic well. In the paper, students will discuss the particular management topic, identify the relevant scene or scenes (be sure to provide a weblink to the video), and explain specifically how the management topic is illustrated in that scene. The paper must focus on a specific topic in Management and must go significantly above and beyond the material covered in the textbook. For example, it is not sufficient to simply mention a scene from “Office Space†and state that it shows lines of authority—instead you might analyze the types of power used in the scene and describe exactly how authority is illustrated.
