Self Appraisal
You are the Manager of the Health Information Department and your boss wants you to submit a self appraisal to him prior to your annual performance evaluation. Your boss is the CFO of the hospital. This is your opportunity to tell him what you have accomplished during the past year and it is also your opportunity to “toot your own horn” so to speak.
Write a paragraph on your accomplishments that you will submit to him. Include what your goals will be for next year. Be professional and think about the fact that you next raise will depend on this document.
Discuss why you selected the accomplishments you did and why those are the most important for an HIM Manager to be assessed on.
