You should then justify your selection of one approach that you feel would be best in the above scenario identifying the specific conditions that support the use of that approach. The approaches you should take to: leadership and motivation, communications and negotiating, decision making and organisational relationships. Finally, you feel you need to reflect on the relative importance of your own national cultural background to understanding others from different cultures. What lessons can you learn about working in a multi-cultural environment? (20%) Your response here will inevitably reflect your own background and cross-cultural experiences. However, the emphasis should be on how that background and your experiences have helped you develop your understanding of others from different cultural backgrounds. The final part requires you to assess how that understanding could be applied to make working in a multi-cultural environment more effective. Although this task is based on personal experiences you should support your observations and evaluations with appropriate theory wherever possible. NB: For each task you are required to draw reference to the insights from key cross-cultural researchers and other appropriate academic theory and relevant examples to support your arguments.
