The essay must be about any legislation Congress has passed the past forty years addressing issues about diversity in the workplace, school or public spaces. (Many laws have addressed diversity: The CRA, 1964; ADEA, 1967; Rehabilitation Act, 1973; ADA, 1990; and CRA, 1991.)
- What specific issue or issues did the legislation address?
- What is the history about the issue? Problems, the people hurt, etc.
- Cite (verbatim) parts of the legislation that address the issue (3 pages maximum)
- What has happened to the issue? Has the legislation addressed it?
- Court cases?
