INSTRUCTIONS-you must read from pp. 15-36.
1. Read The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Fredrick Engels (https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/download/pdf/Manifesto.pdf). Preferably, you should read the entire document, but surely you must read from pp. 15-36.
2. Write an 800-word critical review and analysis of The Manifesto, making sure you address the following:
(a) Summary of the central arguments of The Manifesto;
(b) Discuss TWO recent major events/developments (since 2000-present) that make the central arguments and/or ideas of the Manifesto STILL relevant or clearly NOT relevant, to the world economy of 2017.
(c) Irrespective of your position in 2(b) above and given that The Communist Manifesto and much of Marxian theory have never really been implemented or practiced, not even by former socialist/communist countries, address (with specific facts) whether or not you agree that Francis Fukuyama’s “End of History” thesis of 1989 was premature.
